ILD Director Jeff Rice, along with Monica Lynn (Event Coordinator), were joined by Dr Jose Jones to represent International Legends of Diving in honoring Ramon Nunez with the Giant Stride Award. The event was held at Ramon's Village Resort on Ambergris Caye and attended by friends, family, and longtime associates of Mr. Nunez. It was appropriate that the venue was seaside, as Ramon was born in a sailboat and was named after the Patron Saint of the Sea. It was also quite fitting that Dr Jose Jones, a marine biologist, environmental scientist, and underwater archeologist presented the award to Ramon since they have enjoyed a friendship for years.
